The newly opened BAAM Academic Center is a major milestone in completing the BAAM Campus — a vibrant, community-focused space where education, innovation, and opportunity come together to empower youth and families in Easton, Maryland and throughout Talbot County.

Designed as more than a traditional school, the Academic Center offers after-school programs, STEM learning, college and career readiness, entrepreneurship opportunities, and adult education in a safe, inclusive environment. With dedicated spaces for eSports, podcasting, music production, and art, the center is a hub for creativity and 21st-century skill building. A commercial kitchen supports local food entrepreneurs, and our library and reading programs will highlight African American history, culture, and storytelling.

Through partnerships with local schools, healthcare providers, and economic development agencies, the Academic Center strengthens our commitment to academic enrichment, health and wellness, and workforce development. Combined with the BAAM Athletic Center, families can now access wraparound programming — from youth sports to parenting classes — all in one supportive campus.
