BAAM Campus Annex at Moton Street
In late November 2024, after many years of dedicated effort to acquire the adjacent Moton Street parcel, BAAM became the official owner of the 406 Moton Street property. The three condemned, blighted housing structures will be completely demolished to make way for the vibrant new BAAM Campus Annex.
BAAM is partnering with the Town of Easton and local non-profit organizations to transform this 2-acre property into a unified corridor of opportunity, wellness, and youth leadership:
- Career & Technology Center: The Annex will feature a state-of-the-art facility housing the BAAM Career & Technology Center, which offers dedicated vocational trade classrooms for hands-on instruction in HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and welding, alongside flexible event and training space, staff offices, and dedicated storage.
- Safety Town (Traffic Garden): In partnership with Talbot Thrive, BAAM will create an interactive Safety Town traffic garden. Talbot Thrive will provide road and traffic safety training, along with free bikes and helmets for youth and families in need.
- Community Fresh-Produce Garden: A dedicated community garden will grow fresh produce to support local nutrition initiatives and combat food insecurity.
- Campus Integration & Greenspace: The property will feature dedicated parking for the expanded BAAM Campus—seamlessly connecting the new Annex with our Academic and Athletic Centers—and open green spaces designed to merge directly with Moton Park and the George Murphy Pool, ensuring easy, safe access for youth and families to enjoy.
