Building African American Minds will be expanding its girls program thanks to a $1 million gift made last week by Dr. Eileen Amy Ryan of Rochester, New York. Ryan, the sister of BAAM Board President Bill Ryan, said she made the contribution hoping “to open up worlds for these girls.”
